"Forgiving yourself is just as healing as forgiving others.

Forgiving oneself is something that a lot of people don't think about.  We tend to forgive others, but forget about ourselves and what we need.  We need forgiveness just as much as anyone else does.  We deserve to be forgiven, just as others do.  You will feel worthy of your own forgiveness.  Forgiving yourself can help you to love yourself.

Maybe you've been in a toxic relationship and your partner was hurtful to you.  Whether you stay in that relationship or not, it is healing to forgive the other person.  It is even more healing to forgive yourself.

If you do not forgive yourself, you are not loving yourself.  Not forgiving yourself is sending a message to yourself that you are not worthy of forgiveness.  You are telling yourself that you are not lovable.  You ARE worthy.  You ARE lovable.  You DO deserve forgiveness.  Forgiving yourself will heal your emotional wounds.  Forgiving yourself will help heal your life.

Forgiving yourself for allowing others to hurt you can be very therapeutic.  Forgiving yourself for anything can be very healing."
