"Real rest is about getting 7-9 hrs of quality sleep each night.  Real rest is also about sleeping between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.  During those hours, your body releases healing hormones, creating a deep quality sleep.  The catch is, you have to be asleep in order for the healing hormones to be released...

If you don't believe me, try it.  Go to bed at 10:00 p.m. and sleep for 8 hrs.  Then, on another night, go to bed at 2:00 a.m. and sleep for 8 hrs.  Pay attention to how you feel when you get up.  Notice the difference in the quality of sleep: how rested or not you feel. "

Note: Make sure you are ASLEEP by 10:00 p.m. on the night you go to bed early.  If that means going to bed at 9:30 or 9:45pm then go ahead and do so.
