"Forgiving oneself is something that a lot of people don't think about. We tend to forgive others, but forget about ourselves and what we need. We need and deserve forgiveness. Forgiving yourself can help you to love yourself.
Maybe you've been in a toxic relationship and your partner was hurtful to you. Whether you stay in the relationship or not, it is healing to forgive yourself. If you do not forgive yourself, you are not loving yourself. Not forgiving yourself sends a message to yourself that you are not worthy of forgiveness. You are telling yourself that you are not lovable. You DO deserve forgiveness. You ARE lovable.
Forgive yourself for allowing others to hurt you. It can very therapeutic.
