"Whenever we stretch, we oxygenate the muscles.  Why is that important?  It makes the muscle stronger.  If you stretch your muscles and hold the stretch for at least 10 seconds (30 sec is better), you allow oxygen to get into the muscles.  Oxygen helps the muscles to rebuild better and stronger.  Also, cancer cells cannot survive in an environment with oxygen."
