When someone gives us a gift in a box with a bow on it, we receive it with grace and gratitude.
Why is it we have difficulty receiving gifts in other forms?
Example: People give compliments, yet many of us reject the gift.   When you say "This old thing?
I've had this for 10 years, it's all beat up, blah, blah, blah,"  you take away their joy of giving.
Give them their joy in return for the gift you received....whatever form it may come in.
Real receiving is done with grace and gratitude.
